A 2D/3D Interior Designer is a professional who designs interiors in two dimensions or three dimensions. They may work with architects and design teams to create spaces that are both functional and beautiful. A 2D/3D Interior Designer typically has a degree in interior design, art history, architecture or another related field. Some common tasks of a 2D/3d Interior Designer include creating concept sketches, 3-dimensional renderings, working with fabricators to produce mockups and overseeing the entire project from start to finish.
A 2D/3D Interior Designer must have a degree in interior design, preferably from an accredited program. They also need experience designing spaces and often receive specialized training in 3D rendering or modelling software. Some employers may require certification such as the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Professional Certification for Interiors Design.
1. Strong design skills, including the ability to conceive and create original ideas;
2. Excellent attention to detail and a creative eye for color and texture;
3. Proven experience working with both 2D or 3D modeling software programs (such as Sketchup or Maya);
4. Experience designing furniture, interiors, or any type of decorative element within an environment;
5. Knowledge of construction methods such as plastering/plasterboard installation and carpentry

The interior designer's key responsibilities include visualizing and sketching design plans as per client goals, sourcing products and materials, determining costs and inspecting construction to ensure alignment with design specifications are met. You will also be expected to comply with the regulatory environment around inspections and building codes. Highly creative, imaginative and artistic. Excellent communication skills, especially in regard to communicating an artistic vision. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Illustrator, SketchUp or similar design software.
