What is a 2D Graphic Designer?

What qualifications are required to become a 2D Graphic Designer?

1. A degree in graphic design is often required, but not always. There are a variety of pathways you can take to becoming a 2D Graphic Designer, including attending art school and starting your own company.

2. You will need excellent drawing and painting skills as well as the ability to think critically about visual communication.

3. Some common software programs used by 2D Graphic Designers include Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CC or higher versions, Inkscape vector graphics editor, GIMP photo editing program (for image manipulation), Keynote presentation creation toolkit for MacOSX 10+, Sketch app for iPad/iPhone etc., CorelDraw X5 or above

What are the skills required to become a 2D Graphic Designer?
