What is a 2D Graphic Designer?

A 2D Graphic Designer creates designs for visual communication in a variety of media, such as print advertisements, web pages and product packaging. They may also create illustrations or graphics for movies or video games. A 2D Graphic Designer typically has a degree in graphic design or another related field and is skilled at creating original concepts with clarity and precision. Some common skills include Adobe Photoshop®, Illustrator® and Inkscape™.

What qualifications are required to become a 2D Graphic Designer?

1. Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator - Ideally, a 2D Graphic Designer should be proficient in both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. However, not all designers are required to use these specific programs; some may prefer other graphic design software such as Inkscape or GIMP.

2. Excellent judgment – A good 2D Graphic Designer must have excellent judgment when it comes to layout, color scheme, typography etc.; they need to know how to balance the needs of their clients with their own artistic vision.

3. Strong communication skills – Being able to effectively communicate with clients is essential for any designer working in the publishing industry or within an advertising agency where visual concepts will often be pitched multiple times over different channels (e-mail/phone/face-to-face). Understanding what your client wants and making sure that your designs reflect this requirement is critical for success as a 2D Graphic Designer!

4 Creative problem solving ability – As mentioned before, being creative means having the ability solve problems—inherently this involves coming up with new solutions on a regular basis in order not only meet but exceed client expectations while maintaining high standards of quality workmanship.

What are the skills required to become a 2D Graphic Designer?

-Ability to think creatively and come up with new ideas for design projects.
