What is a 2D Graphic Designer?

A 2D Graphic Designer creates and designs graphic layouts for publications, such as magazines, newspapers, brochures and websites. They may also create illustrations or graphics for advertising campaigns. A typical day at work might involve creating initial sketches of ideas before refining them into finalized artwork using software like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.

What qualifications are required to become a 2D Graphic Designer?

1. Strong graphic design skills, including layout and composition; 2. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or another graphics software package; 3. Knowledge of typography and branding principles; 4. Experience creating visual identities for businesses or brands; 5. Proven track record in producing high-quality work

What are the skills required to become a 2D Graphic Designer?

1. Strong ability to create layouts and graphics for webpages, brochures, or other printed materials.

2. Excellent skills in photo editing software ( Adobe Photoshop or GIMP ) to manipulate images into desired formats.

3. Familiarity with typography and layout principles including color theory .

4. Thorough knowledge of InDesign , Illustrator or another vector graphic design program is preferred but not required; strong understanding of HTML/CSS is also beneficial .
