What is a 3D Graphic Designer?

A 3D Graphic Designer is someone who designs graphics in three dimensions, such as illustrations or models. They may also work on video game titles and other multimedia projects. A typical job for a 3D Graphic Designer would involve creating digital images from scratch, working with software to create effects and animations, and collaborating with others on project tasks.

What qualifications are required to become a 3D Graphic Designer?

1. The person should have a good understanding of 3D modelling, rendering and animation software such as Cinema 4D or Maya.

2. They should be familiar with Photoshop and Illustrator (or another vector-based drawing program).

3. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.

4. Knowledge in typography, brand design principles and web development may also be beneficial for some designers – but this isn’t always necessary!

5. A passion for creativity is key; if someone has an innate interest in visual arts then they will likely thrive in the field of graphic design too!
