A 3D modeling designer is someone who creates models of products or ideas. They may work for a company that designs things like cars, toys, houses, or medical devices. They use computer programs to create the models and often need advanced skills in math and physics.
- 3D Modeling Designer should have a degree in Computer Science, Architecture or another related field
- Must be familiar with computer aided design and drafting software such as AutoCAD
- Should have strong experience working with textures, materials and lighting effects
- Familiarity with rendering engines (such as Havok) is useful but not required
A 3D Modeling Designer needs to have strong modeling skills, knowledge of 3D software such as Maya or3Ds Max and the ability to create high-quality models. They also need good communication and problem solving abilities, as well as a creative mind.
