A 3D modeling designer is responsible for creating high-quality 3D models that can be used in a variety of applications. They may work with software such as Maya or Sketch to create these models, and often have previous design experience required. As well as being skilled at using3D modelling programs, designers must also be comfortable working with other creative tools such as Photoshop or Illustrator.
1. Good understanding of 3D modeling software, including concepts and how to use it effectively
2. Creative thinking and strong visualization skills – the ability to create accurate representations of objects in three dimensions is based on a good sense for shapes and form
3. Familiarity with CAD/CAM tools or design programs that can produce exploded views or cross-sectional illustrations (e.g., Catia) would be an advantage as they are often used together with 3D modeling software
4. Experience working within a collaborative environment – being able to work well under pressure while maintaining quality standards is essential for this field
5. Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills - these professionals need to be able to efficiently collaborate both inside teams as well as across organizations

3D Designer Responsibilities: · Develop 3D design for new product · Review and enhance 3D designs for existing project · Manage documentation of both new and revised 3D designs · Understand the project requirements and develop high quality design accordingly · Develop design layouts for complex projects using computer aided design (CAD) · Develop primary sketches and models for final selection of design · Review 3D designs and provide recommendation · Select materials, engineering standards and generic parts for 3D Model designs · Present designs to clients and internal teams clearly. · Participate in project team meeting. · Understanding the project requirements and conceptualizing creative ideas. · Troubleshooting any problems that arise during work on a project. · Meeting with Project team and Directors to discuss and review projects and deadlines. · Controlling and operating 3D printing machine. · Convert files to 3D printable format. · Editing drawings to be cut in Laser cutting machine and CNC machine. · Scale model experience will be preferable. Requirements: · Certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field. · A strong portfolio of previous work and completed projects. · Strong working knowledge of industry-standard software, including 3ds Max, V-Ray, SketchUp, and Maya. · Excellent creativity and artistic skills. · An eye for composition, realism, texture, color, and lighting. · Good communication and teamwork skills. · Excellent time management skills. · Willingness to remain up-to-date on the latest creative software and hardware.
