What is a 3D Signage Fabricator?

A 3D Signage Fabricator is someone who creates three-dimensional signage using a variety of fabrication techniques such as CNC machining, metalworking, and printing. These signmakers can create signs in a number of different formats including traditional billboard style advertisements, interactive displays, or even sculptural installations. They often have extensive experience with various types of 3D software which allows them to produce high quality graphics quickly and easily.

What qualifications are required to become a 3D Signage Fabricator?

1. A three-dimensional fabrication skillset including knowledge of metal working, CAD design software and laser cutting;

2. Demonstrated experience fabricating signs or displays using 3D printing technology;

3. Proven proficiency with computer aided drafting (CAD) tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD;

4. Excellent photography and videography skills to capture accurate images of fabricated components for manufacturing documentation purposes;

5. Experience in the sign industry a plus

What are the skills required to become a 3D Signage Fabricator?
