What is a 3G/4G Welder?

A welder who uses 3G/4G technology to help fabricate metal parts. They use a variety of welding techniques to join metals together, including gas tungsten arc Welding (GTAW), MIG and TIG.

What qualifications are required to become a 3G/4G Welder?

1. A 3G/4G Welder must have a certification from an accredited welding school or trade organization such as the American Welding Society (AWS).

2. They must be skilled in arc welding and MIG welder techniques, able to use basic cutting tools, and possess good manual dexterity.

3. 3G/4G welders often work with high voltage equipment, so they need to be knowledgeable about safety precautions and proper handling of power sources.

4. Some requirements for working with hazardous materials may also apply; most importantly, a willingness to obey all safety guidelines at all times while performing any welding task is essential
