A 6G welder is a type of welder that can weld up to six inches in thickness.

What qualifications are required to become a 6G Welder?

There are no specific qualifications required to become a 6G welder, but welding is an demanding and physically challenging trade. In order to be successful as a 6G welder, you will need good hand-eye coordination, strong work ethic and the ability to take direction well. Additionally, prior welding experience is recommended, although not necessarily necessary.

What are the skills required to become a 6G Welder?

1. Skill in using a welder's torch and welding equipment.

2. Knowledge of welding processes, including arc-welding, MIG/TIG and stick-welding techniques.

3. Experience in fabricating metal structures or components from sheet steel or other metals using various Welding Processes (e..g., GTAW, FCAW).

4. Familiarity with common safety precautions when working with welders' torches and heavy equipment such as shielded gas masks and respiratory protection gear required for some Welder jobs (ESD & CVD).

5. A good understanding of the physics behind Metalworking operations
