A 6G welder can weld up to six times the thickness of a 4G welder. They also have more power and are better at welding in difficult positions.

What qualifications are required to become a 6G Welder?

1. A 6G Welder should have a minimum of an associate's degree in welding technology or engineering.

2. They must be proficient with arc welder, MIG welder and TIG welder machines.

3. 3 years experience is required to become a 6G Welder certified by the American Welding Society (AWS).

4. Knowledge in metal fabrication processes such as wire drawing, cold working, soldering etc is essential for success as a welders
