A 6G welder is a type of welding machine that uses six-gauge wire. This makes it able to weld thicker materials than other types of welding machines.
A 6G Welder must have a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of welding experience. They also need to be certified by the American Welding Society (AWS).

- Experience in using a welder's torch and other welding equipment
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand eye coordination
