What is a AC Ductman?

A ductman is a person who installs, repairs and maintains air conditioning ducts. They use tools such as power saws, clamps and drills to make the necessary cuts in walls or ceilings.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Ductman?

1. Valid AC ductwork certification from an approved organization is required.

2. Experience in installing, maintaining and repairing AC systems is preferred but not required.

3. Some experience with using a computerized drafting program such as CAD software or AutoCAD is helpful but not necessary for the position of AC Ductman .

4.. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams is essential for this profession; knowledge of standard building codes also helps tremendously.
