What is a AC Ductman?

A ductman is a person who installs, repairs and maintains air conditioning systems. They are responsible for making sure the system is running smoothly and keeping it in good condition.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Ductman?

1. A minimum of two years experience in the heating and cooling industry is required to become a AC Ductman.

2. Strong mechanical skills are necessary for this position, as ductwork can be heavy and difficult to maneuver.

3. Excellent problem solving ability is needed, as repairs may require quick improvisation on the part of the ductman.

4. Prior knowledge or experience with HVAC systems is beneficial, but not mandatory; training provided by your employer will cover most bases essential for success in this field .

5. Certifications such as Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technician certification from National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) or The Canadian Red Cross Certified Techs program are highly recommended but not mandatory
