What is a AC Ductman?

A ductman is a person who installs, repairs and maintains air conditioning and heating systems. They are responsible for ensuring that the units work properly and keep buildings at an optimal temperature. Ductmen often work in tandem with other maintenance professionals such as electricians or plumbers to ensure a smooth operation of the building's cooling/heating system.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Ductman?

A. A minimum of 2 years experience in a commercial or industrial setting is required to become an AC ductman.

B. The AC ductman must be able to read and understand blueprints and construction plans, as well as operate common hand tools.

C. Some states require the ac ductman to have certification from an accredited trade organization such as the National Association of Home Builders (N AHB).

D. Experience working with power lines is also desirable, since this work frequently requires traversing above-ground wires close to buildings or other structures.
