What is a AC Ductman?

A ductman is a technician who installs and maintains the air-conditioning and heating systems in commercial buildings. They use tools such as power drills, saws, hammers, screwdrivers, and other equipment to fix or replace parts of the system. Ductmen also check insulation levels on ceilings and walls to make sure they are keeping these areas cool or warm enough.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Ductman?

1. Experience in installing, repairing or maintaining AC and ductwork is a must.

2. Knowledge of the different types of air conditioning systems is also necessary.

3. A minimum of an associate's degree in engineering or mechanical technology is required, along with experience working onAC systems .

4.. Ability to read schematics and diagrams related to air conditioning installation are essential skills for this career field .

5.. Some employers may require certification from either the National Air Conditioning Contractors Association (NACC) or The American Society Of Heating, Refrigeration And Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
