What is a AC Ductman?

A ductman is a skilled worker who installs, repairs and maintains air conditioning and heating systems. They are responsible for the smooth running of these systems, making sure that everyone in the building has comfortable temperatures all year round. Ductmen often work on high-rise buildings or commercial complexes where large numbers of people need to be kept cool or warm at all times.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Ductman?

A ductman must have a minimum of two years welding experience and a valid driver’s license. They must also be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

What are the skills required to become a AC Ductman?

-Proven experience as a journeyman AC mechanic.

-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, or other technical drawings related to air conditioning systems.

-Strong problem solving skills and the ability to identify and diagnose mechanical problems with an air conditioning system.

-Familiarity working with tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, pliers etc., necessary for repairs or installation of components on an air conditioner system.
