What is a AC Technician?

A AC Technician is a technician who works with alternating current (AC). They maintain and repair equipment that uses AC, such as power plants, factories, and homes.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Experience in a home electronic system installation and repair is desired.

3. Familiarity with basic electrical wiring principles and tools are essential, as well as knowledge of common AC unit components such as switches, receptacles, fuses, etc..

4. Strong problem solving skills are necessary to diagnose and fix mechanical problems on systems using electricity; additionally possessing excellent customer service skills will be advantageous for those working within the industry more generally than just repairing AC units specifically).
