A AC Technician is a technician who specializes in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. They work to maintain, repair or replace air conditioning units, compressors and refrigerants systems in buildings.
The qualifications for becoming an AC Technician vary depending on the position. However, generally, a technician must have experience working with air conditioning systems and be familiar with maintenance procedures. They may also need to have good communication skills and be able to work independently.
The skills required to become a AC Technician include knowledge of electrical wiring and installation, troubleshooting methods, familiarity with electronic equipment and repair procedures. Additionally, technicians must be able to read schematics and diagrams, operate tools necessary for repairs, stay calm under pressure and have excellent problem-solving abilities.
