What is a AC Technician?

A AC Technician is someone who installs and repairs air conditioning units. They may also be called a HVAC technician, an A/C mechanic or just a tech. They typically work in businesses and homes where there are AC units present.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Certification as an electrician, master technician, or journeyman electrician from a nationally recognized organization such as the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) is preferred but not required.

3. Experience working with circuit breakers and electrical wiring is desirable although not mandatory for entry-level work in AC Technician roles.

4。 Ability to read schematics and diagrams of electricity circuits accurately is essential for job success as an AC Technician due to the complexity of many systems involved in modern homes and businesses .

5。 Familiarity with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software may be beneficial given that many calculations are performed using formulas within these documents

What are the skills required to become a AC Technician?
