What is a AC Technician?

A AC Technician is someone who repairs and maintains air conditioning units. They check filters, coils, fans and other parts to ensure that the unit operates properly. Most technicians are also familiar with troubleshooting issues related to air conditioning systems.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Knowledge of electricity and wiring is a must, along with experience in using tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches.

3. Strong math skills are also necessary, as AC technicians need to be able to understand calculations relating to electrical systems.

4. The technician should have good communication and problem-solving abilities; often times they must work alongside other professionals in order to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

5 . Some states may require certification from an accredited program before granting employment eligibility, so it's important for potential candidates to research the requirements in their state beforehand
