What is a AC Technician?

A AC Technician is a technician who repairs and maintains air conditioning systems. They may also install new systems or troubleshoot problems with existing ones. They typically need a high school diploma or equivalent, along with some experience in the field.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

1. A AC Technician must have a minimum of an associate's degree in air conditioning and heating from an accredited school.

2. They must also be able to read, write, and follow basic electrical wiring diagrams.

3. Experience working with air conditioners and central cooling systems is preferred but not required.

4. The technician should be comfortable working independently as well as under pressure situations; this includes being able to work during holidays or nights when the building is closed for business hours due to repairs or maintenance activities taking place on other parts of the facility .

5.. Finally, they should pass a proficiency test administered by their employer which demonstrates their ability to properly complete tasks associated with running an AC system

What are the skills required to become a AC Technician?

- Proven experience in air conditioning and heating systems.

- Excellent knowledge of diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting procedures.

- Strong technical skills, including ability to read schematics, identify components, and carry out repairs/adjustments.
