What is a AC Technician?

A AC Technician is a technician who specializes in Air Conditioning and Heating. They work to keep buildings comfortable by keeping the temperature consistent, repairing broken equipment, and educating their clients on how to maintain their system properly.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

1. A valid technician's license from a state or provincial government

2. Minimum of two years experience as an electrician, plumber, HVAC specialist or related trade

3. Must be able to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams

4. Knowledge of proper use and care for tools including power generators and motors

5. Able to work independently with little supervision

What are the skills required to become a AC Technician?

1. The ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics

2. Strong communication and problem solving skills

3. Certification in AC maintenance or repair from an accredited certification program

4. Experience working with electrical equipment, including wiring diagrams and circuit analysis
