What is a AC Technician?

1. AC technicians work with air conditioning and heating systems in buildings.

2. They are responsible for diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in these systems, as well as recommending necessary repairs or replacements.

3. A technician’s education typically includes certification from an accredited trade organization such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

4. In order to be qualified, a technician must have excellent mechanical skills along with knowledge of electrical wiring procedures and equipment usage; additionally, they must be able to read schematics accurately and carry out tests on air conditioning units themselves if needed.

5. Many technicians hold other positions within the building maintenance field—such as electrician, plumber, roofing contractor—thus having a broad range of experience that is useful when working on AC systems
