What is a AC Technician?

A AC Technician is someone who repairs, installs and maintains air conditioning units. They often work in commercial or industrial settings where it can be quite hot or cold.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Experience working with air conditioning systems is a must; training in AC technology may be provided by the employer.

3. Individuals should have good problem-solving skills and strong mechanical aptitude, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively work with others in a team setting.

4. Basic math skills are essential for calculating airflow patterns, room capacities, system performance specs etc., which often requires use of trigonometry and algebraic formulas.; familiarity with computer software such as Excel or SPSS also beneficial。

5.. Knowledge of safety regulations pertaining to heating/cooling systems (e e . OSHA 1910), electrical wiring practices (NFPA 70) & fire prevention measures are all important considerations for this job

What are the skills required to become a AC Technician?

-A minimum of an associate's degree in electronics technology, or a related field.

-Knowledge of wiring and electrical systems.

-Basic knowledge of computers and software used for troubleshooting electronic equipment.

-Ability to read schematics and understand how circuitry functions.
