AC Technician Job in Dubai

Job Description

To maintain the complex Refrigeration & Air Conditioning systems, associated controls and any other related equipment within the purview of the designated area of the AC department. • Carry out the service and maintenance of the various types of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment under the Wojood contracts. • Execute installation works of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment as and when required. • Conduct site surveys and inspections. • Carry out land and marine based work within the boundaries of the UAE. • Attend shift working when required. • Perform the clerical duties as required by the job. • Proper feedback to the Team Leader / Supervisor. • Good Working relationship and Proper Coordination with the team members. • Suggest process improvements. • Suggest improvements in PPM task sheet Requirements • Certificate of Secondary Education. • Technical Certificate in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning. • Minimum of 5 years experience in the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning industry as a service mechanic or technician. • Possess a valid UAE LV driving license. • Possess good communication skills. • Fluent in written and spoken English – Not necessary in all cases. Technical skills will take the lead quality for the employee. • Computer literacy and knowledge is an added qualification. • Should have a sound knowledge of pipefitting and brazing techniques as applicable to the AC and refrigeration industry. • Should have a sound knowledge of electrical and electronic fault diagnosis as applicable to the AC and refrigeration industry. 1. What is a AC Technician?

A AC Technician is an individual who specializes in the repair and installation of air conditioning units. They may also be responsible for maintaining existing systems or troubleshooting problems with these machines. In many cases, a technician will have certification from either the National Mechanical Contractors Association (NMCSA) or American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Basic computer knowledge, including working with Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems is necessary.

3. Technical skills in electrical wiring and fundamentals of electricity are essential for the AC Technician role, as well as experience with advanced home automation devices like smart thermostats and security cameras/door sensors .

4. Experience installing or troubleshooting central air conditioning units (ACs) would be a plus; many employers also require certification from an accredited training program such as the National Electrical Code Academy (NECCA).

5. Good problem solving abilities are critical to being successful as an AC Technician – often times issues can arise that need creative solutions to get them resolved efficiently

What are the skills required to become a AC Technician?

1. Knowledge of electricity and its various applications

2. Ability to read electrical schematics

3. Experience working with wiring diagrams, estimating wire lengths, and installing/repairing electronic equipment

4. Basic knowledge in computers (Windows or MacOS) including using common software programs such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop
