What is a AC Technician?

A AC Technician is a person who specializes in repairing and maintaining air conditioning units. They may also be responsible for installing new air conditioning systems, or servicing existing ones.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Minimum of two years experience in an AC installation/repair occupation, such as a HVAC technician or electrician is necessary to be qualified for the job title of AC Technician.

3. Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to read schematics and diagrams accurately in order to diagnose problems with air conditioning systems correctly.

4. Proven ability working independently as well as partaking in team assignments is essential for this position, along with good communication and coordination abilities between individuals onsite during repairs/installations\. Â 5 . Candidates must also possess some mechanical aptitude (such as being comfortable using hand tools) due to the necessity of repairing small machines often found within air conditioning installations
