What is a AC Technician?

A AC Technician is a person who repairs and maintains air conditioners. They may also be responsible for checking the systems to ensure that they are working properly.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. AC Technician certification from an accredited technician training program is preferred, but not mandatory.

3. Experience in repairing and servicing air conditioning systems is beneficial, but not necessary for the position of AC Technician.

4. Good mechanical skills are a must; knowledge of refrigerant applications also desirable due to potential use in air conditioning system repairs/maintenance workflows .
