What is a AC Technician?

A AC Technician is someone who repairs and maintains air conditioning systems. They may also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing faulty components in an air conditioning system.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

A. A high school diploma or equivalent is required

B. Completion of an accredited technician program is preferred

C. Certification as a residential AC Technician from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is recommended

D. Minimum experience with air conditioning and heating systems desirable

E. Ability to read, write, and understand English clearly

What are the skills required to become a AC Technician?

1) Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

2) Good problem solving skills.
