What is a AC Technician?

A AC Technician is someone who repairs and maintains air conditioning units. They may also be responsible for routine maintenance on the system, such as checking filters and replacing parts.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Must be able to read, write and understand basic electrical wiring diagrams.

3. Experience in installing, repairing and maintaining AC systems is a must.

4. Some knowledge of HVAC installations may also be beneficial depending on the position being pursued (ie.; ductwork installation).
