What is a AC Technician?

A technician who repairs and maintains air conditioning systems. May also service heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Experience in working with AC systems is preferred, but not necessary.

3. Knowledge of electrical theory and mathematics is a must, as well as experience troubleshooting AC problems.

4. Must be able to work independently and take direction from others when needed; have excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail are also important traits for the position of AC Technician

What are the skills required to become a AC Technician?

1. Knowledge of electrical wiring and devices

2. Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot problems

3. Experience working with tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, etc

4. Strong problem-solving skills

5. Good communication and teamwork abilities
