What is a AC Technician?

A technician who services and repairs air conditioning systems. They test, diagnose, and maintain the system to ensure it is running at optimal efficiency.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

A. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

B. Technical certification from an accredited organization such as the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) is desirable but not mandatory.

C.. Experience in a technical field, preferably electrical wiring and installation, would be beneficial for AC technicians working on commercial projects or installations with greater complexity than residential applications may possess

D.. Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting electric systems will make you a well-rounded technician

E.. Familiarity with computers and software used to control electric systems are also important

What are the skills required to become a AC Technician?

1. Have a degree in electrical engineering or related field

2. Proven experience working with AC power circuits and systems
