A AC Technician is a technician who repairs, maintain and installs air conditioning systems.
A. A high school diploma or equivalent is required to become a AC Technician.
B. Professional certification in air conditioning and refrigeration technology may be required for some positions.
C. Some experience working with air conditioners and/or refrigerators is generally preferred, but not always necessary.
Determining the cause of an issue with an AC system can be a complex process that requires expertise in electrical wiring, diagnostics, mechanics and problem-solving skills .
E Effective communication (verbal AND written) as well as good customer service are essential qualities for any technician dealing with customers or clients on a regular basis

Urgent Requirement for Sahara International Group AC Technician cum Electrician To provide quality service and ensure that all AC units, electrical systems, wiring and other equipment in the company remain functional. You will rely on your ability to multi-task, determine which one to prioritize, work in a fast-paced environment and in efficient manner to keep our company facilities operational. You will handle routine maintenance tasks and can quickly accomplish the task/s to reduce downtime. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: AC TECHNICIAN o Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioner. o Ventilate equipment and controls making sure they operate efficiently and continuously. o Perform regular maintenance work on cooling units. o Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions. o Install, replace, or repair equipment that has been damaged. o Make adjustment and do calibrations of thermostatic controls. o Install new air-conditioning systems and equipment and clean blowers and coils, check tensions of belts and motors. o Other repair and maintenance as necessary. ELECTRICIAN o Inspect on a routine basis all electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues. o Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components, and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem. o Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment and other components so that they remain at full functioning capacity. o Test systems with devices such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes and ohmmeters to ensure the system remains safe and that components are compatible. o Review blueprints to understand the placement of wiring or to comprehend the working of the equipment to provide the right service and repairs. o Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment and other electrical components, advising when certain components should be replaced due to potential risks. o Keep records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record of any supplies ordered and used. o Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs. Other tasks: o Conduct site inspection from time to time to ensure that all AC units / electrical systems abide with safety standards of the company and report any non-compliance to HR. o Other tasks assigned by Immediate Supervisor according to any needs/requirements arising in the future.
