What is a AC Technician?

A AC Technician is a person who repairs and maintains the electrical systems in buildings. They may work on everything from large commercial complexes to single family homes. A typical career path for an AC technician includes acquiring certification through either state or national boards, specializing in one area of electrical repair (such as wiring diagrams), working with apprenticeships and continuing education programs, and eventually becoming a supervisor or owner/operator of their own business.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

A. A high school diploma or equivalent is required

B. Experience in air conditioning repair and maintenance is desired

C. Must be able to read, write, and understand English well

D. Familiarity with computers and software used for AC repairs desirable

What are the skills required to become a AC Technician?
