What is a AC Technician?

A AC technician is a person who repairs or maintains the systems that provide air conditioning and heating in an office, home, or other building. They may also be responsible for installing new AC units.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

1. AC Technician must have a technical degree in air conditioning or heating technology, such as an engineering or mechanical engineering degree.

2. Experience with air conditioning and/or heating systems is preferred but not required.

3. Must be able to read and interpret schematics of various types of cooling and heating systems, including ductwork layouts, pump installations and control panels.

4. Familiarity with computers (including Windows 10) is helpful for troubleshooting problems on complex HVAC systems electronically; knowing how to use basic software programs like Google Earth also helps tremendously when locating parts inside tight spaces or tracking down leaks!

5..Must be proficient using hand tools such as wrenches, screw drivers etc., along with power tools specific to the installation/repair trade (such as routers).
