What is a Accounting Clerk?

A accounting clerk is a position in a company where they are responsible for preparing and submitting financial reports, as well as other clerical tasks. They may also be required to handle customer service duties.

What qualifications are required to become a Accounting Clerk?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Must be able to type at least 40 wpm and have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

3. Experience in the accounting field is a plus, but not necessary for this position as training will be provided on the job.

4. Good communication and problem-solving skills are essential since Accounts Clerks work with clients daily, both verbally and in writing; 5

3. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and practices including accounts receivable/payable, inventory management, etc..
