A Accounting Clerk is a position in the accounting field that assists with bookkeeping, preparing financial statements and auditing. They may also be responsible for other tasks such as receivables management or budgeting.
A person with a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in accounting are generally required to become a clerk. In addition, the individual must be able to type at least 50 words per minute and have strong communication skills.
