An Accounts Admin is responsible for the overall administration of a company’s accounts. This includes ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date, managing expenses and budgeting efforts, overseeing cash flow management, and maintaining liaison with various reporting agencies. In addition to these core responsibilities, an Accounts Admin may also be involved in day-to-day operations such as reconciling bank statements or creating invoices.
1. Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills
2. Strong computer literacy - able to use software such as Microsoft Excel or Word for accounting tasks
3. Keen attention to detail and strong working knowledge of financial statements and reporting requirements
4. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential – Accounts Admin roles can often be filled from within an organization if the correct qualifications are present
5. It is also important that the individual has good customer service skills – being able to deal effectively with customers both internally (within their own team) and externally (with other departments/organizations)
