A Accounts Assistant is a position in accounting that assists the accountant with various tasks such as preparing financial statements, handling client accounts and maintaining office records.
1. A good understanding of accounting principles and practices
2. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
3. Strong attention to detail and a thoroughness in completing work
4. Proven experience working with Excel or another spreadsheet application
5. Experience managing email accounts
