An accounts associate is a financial professional who assists customers with their banking and investment needs. They may work at a bank, brokerage firm or mutual fund company. An account associates main responsibilities may include helping customers set up new checking and savings accounts, opening retirement plans, and dealing with bill payments. Additionally, they may provide guidance on investing opportunities and help store client funds in appropriate securities.
1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
2. Proven experience in accounting or related field
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Wordpress, and other web-based software applications
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
1. Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures
2. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
3. Excellent communication, problem solving, organizational skills
4. Understanding of financial statements and the ability to analyze them
