We are seeking an experienced Head Accountant to join our supermarket group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the group and ensuring accurate financial reporting, forecasting and analysis. Responsibilities: * Oversee the accounting operations of the group, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory. * Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements and other required reports. * Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. * Monitor and report on the financial performance of the group, including variance analysis and trend analysis. * Forecast future financial performance and develop annual operating budgets and financial plans. * Provide financial analysis and support to senior management in decision-making processes. * Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals on audits and tax filings. * Provide leadership, guidance and training to ensure efficient and effective operations. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA designation preferred. * At least 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role. * Thorough understanding of GAAP and other accounting regulations and principles. * Experience in retail or supermarket industry is preferred. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insights. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. * Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * Strong leadership skills, with ability to motivate and manage a team. * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
