A Acupuncture Therapist is a healthcare professional that helps people with various disorders and health problems through the use of acupuncture. They may also provide other forms of care, such as massage therapy or physical rehabilitation. Acupuncture therapists typically have a bachelor's degree in acupunture, Oriental medicine, physiotherapy or another related field. Many are licensed professionals who must pass an accredited certification exam before practicing their trade.
1. A minimum of two years experience as a licensed medical professional working with acupuncture is required.
2. Must have an active license in the state where they will be practicing acupuncture therapy (i.e., California, Colorado, New York).
3. Ability to read and understand Chinese or Japanese characters is beneficial but not mandatory for this profession; some therapists learn English as their first language so that they can better serve patients from other countries who speak it fluently.
4..Must possess excellent clinical judgment and communication skills – both verbal and written – in order to effectively provide treatment plans customized specifically for each patient’s needs while maintaining confidentiality . Acupuncture Therapists must also be able to maintain composure under pressure when providing acute care service settings and interacting with agitated or stressed out patients on a regular basis .
5..A doctoral degree in Oriental Medicine, Classical homeopathy or Ayurveda may confer additional credibility among potential clients looking for treatments that go beyond mainstream Western medicine options

The Employee shall perform Occupational Therapist duties, the scope of which shall include but is not limited to: Key Responsibilities: Perform relevant and necessary occupational therapy assessments and evaluations and write corresponding reports. Design and implement structured and individualized treatment occupational therapy programs to teach each child. Collect data and maintain documentation pertaining to each child’s program. Provide ongoing guidance within each client’s individual program, ensuring each client’s continued progress towards realizing their maximum potential. Educate and train ABA Therapists in occupational therapy techniques utilized for each child, in order to ensure consistency of interventions. Write progress reports to secure funding from insurance agencies using sound occupational therapy terminology. Write school observation reports highlighting the child’s strengths and areas of need, as well as recommendations for school staff, for the school and the child’s family. Assist in answering questions using a professional tone. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co–workers, supervisors, and the general public. Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organization. Arrive on time to all scheduled sessions; minimal cancellations. Achieve performance goals / objectives as specified in the performance plan. Maintain accurate and timely records including timesheets and reports. Assist with other administrative tasks when required. Represent Maharat professionally and ethically. Provide such other services as are ancillary to the foregoing or as the Employer may reasonably request (collectively, the “Services”). Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
