A Arc Welder is a welding machine that uses an electric arc to create joints in metal. It can be used for several different purposes including repairing machinery, fabricating parts, and joining two pieces of metal together
-A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required, but some welders with more experience may be able to get by without one.
-Arc welding skills are essential for becoming a welder.
-Some basic math knowledge and understanding of engineering principles will also be helpful.
-Good eyesight and good hand coordination are important traits for welding; many arc welders wear safety glasses and gloves to protect their hands from heat exposure.
-Welders typically need strong physical stamina in order to work long hours on the job - often standing or bending over while holding an arc device in their hands
-Must be physically fit and able to work for extended periods of time in a hazardous environment.
-Basic knowledge of welding equipment and how it works is required.
-Strong mechanical skills are necessary, as arc welders must operate heavy machinery.
- Must have good hand eye coordination and attention to detail when working with the welder's torch.
- Knowledge of standard safety procedures is also essential
