What is a Auto/Car Mechanic?

A car mechanic is a person who fixes and maintains cars. They may work on engines, transmissions, brakes, or any other mechanical system in the car. Some mechanics also do electrical repairs.

What qualifications are required to become a Auto/Car Mechanic?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Experience in repairing and/or servicing automobiles is necessary, as are good mechanical skills and knowledge of automotive parts and systems.

3. Must be able to read, write, and understand English well enough to communicate with customers effectively.

4.Must have a valid driver's license from a country that has standards similar to those in the United States for automobile operation (eG: 6 months driving experience).

5 . May require certification by an auto mechanic association or other organization related to car mechanics

What are the skills required to become a Auto/Car Mechanic?

1. Knowledge of automotive mechanics and repair techniques

2. Ability to read and interpret diagnostic codes from vehicles

3. Experience working on cars, trucks, motorcycles or other motorized vehicles

4. Familiarity with tools such as torque wrenches, sockets, screw drivers etc., used in auto mechanic work
