A car mechanic is a person who repairs and maintains cars. They may work on vehicles inside or outside of a garage, and may specialize in one type of car or another. Many mechanics also have certification from professional organizations like the Automobile Club of America (ACA).
A. Experience in car repair and maintenance is required.
B. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to read, write, and understand English well enough to diagnose problems with cars electronically.
