-Support the Chef de Partie in the daily operation and work -Assist in the preparation, production & presentation ensures they are served at the correct times, within the Company's standards, and to the agreed specification. -Receive and check-in goods against the invoice for quality and quality. -Ensure that all goods are quickly and correctly stored away on rotation system following the rule ‘first in, first out’ and comply with health & safety regulations -Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the food preparation and service areas at all times. -Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production -Participate in any necessary training and team meetings as required to complete job responsibilities to the Company’s and Client’s standards e.g. health & safety, food hygiene. -Report any customer complaints or compliments and take some remedial action if at all possible. -Cover in other areas during periods of holidays and sickness

A bakery chef is responsible for the preparation of bread and pastries in a commercial kitchen. They may also be responsible for overseeing baking operations, training staff, and maintaining production schedules.
1. A minimum of two years experience in a bakery is required to become a Bakery Chef.
2. Knowledge and understanding of baking techniques, including breadmaking and cake making is essential for this career path.
3. Proven skills in kitchen management are also necessary as the chef must be able to oversee all aspects of their bakery operation from recipe development, production scheduling, inventory control and marketing initiatives through to customer service duties.
4. Physical stamina and agility are important assets as the baker often has to work long hours with little or no break time during peak periods; good communication skills are also needed so that team members can be directed effectively when tasks need completing quickly on busy days/nights etc..
