A business developer is a position in the software development industry that oversees and manages projects from start to finish. They work with clients and other stakeholders to develop, test, deploy, monitor and improve applications. Business developers typically have experience in various programming languages as well as project management tools such as agile methodology or waterfall methodologies.
1. A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field is required.
2. Previous experience working with computers and software programs is necessary, as are strong communication and organizational skills.
3. Familiarity with a variety of accounting procedures is also beneficial, since many businesses require financial reports to be prepared accurately and on time.
4 Most importantly, the Business Developer must have an understanding of how businesses function both internally (within the organization) and externally (with customers/clients).
