What qualifications are required to become a Butcher?

1. Experience in butchering meat is necessary, although a formal training program can be helpful.

2. Skill at knife work and precision are important qualities for the Butcher profession; often times they must also have good hand-eye coordination.

3. They need to be able to think on their feet and quickly make decisions while working with raw animal products 4 They should possess an eye for detail as well as strong communication skills, since most butchers work alone or with limited staff help 5 Lastly, butchers usually require some degree of physical strength – being able to lift heavy objects regularly is common
