A CAD designer is a person who creates computer drawings of objects and structures. They use software to design 3D models that can be used for manufacturing or engineering purposes.
1. A strong understanding of CAD software and design principles
2. Excellent draughting skills - the ability to produce clear, concise drawings that communicate ideas effectively
3. Proven experience in creating accurate 3D models using a variety of modelling programs
4. Familiarity with basic printing techniques – being able to create 2D or 3D prints from designs using standard printers and imaging software
5. Passion for designing efficient, impactful solutions across all stages of product development
-Graphics design skills, includingvector illustrations and photo editing software
-Knowledge of CAD programs such as AutoCAD or Revit
-Ability to think critically and solve problems creatively in a 3D environment

Competency : A completed apprenticeship would be advantageous. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Superb work ethic and ability to accept feedback.
