What is a Cafe Supervisor?

A cafe supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the café runs smoothly, and that all employees are following restaurant policies. They also manage inventory, keep track of expenses, and communicate with customers.

What qualifications are required to become a Cafe Supervisor?

-At least 2 years of experience as a barista or coffee shop manager.

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Strong organizational abilities, including being able to keep track of daily operations andprioritizing tasks accordingly.

- Knowledgeable in espresso brewing techniques and equipment maintenance/repair.

What are the skills required to become a Cafe Supervisor?

1. Excellent organizational skills- Being able to manage a busy cafe effectively is essential for success as a supervisor. A Cafe Supervisor must be able to plan and organize their time, delegate tasks appropriately, communicate effectively with staff and customers, and keep track of inventory.

2. Strong customer service skills- It’s important that the Supervisor can handle difficult customers with grace while still maintaining order in the cafe. They should be able to listen attentively to complaints or suggestions from patrons, take action accordingly if necessary, and stay calm under pressure!

3. Proven managerial experience- Anyone aspiring to become a Cafe Supervisor should have previous managerial experience either within an espresso bar or restaurant setting in general (not just coffee). This includes being capable of creating systems/protocols governing how operations are run as well as having strong leadership abilities when needed most.- Having worked at several different cafes throughout their career will also prove beneficial given that each establishment has its own unique challenges which need addressing.- Finally good communication & networking skills are key - it's not always possible walk into any business without some kind of introduction so knowing how network & build relationships both inside the company & beyond is invaluable!
